Feel good naked! These tips will make you feel confident, even when you’re naked

naked

There’s a small group of people who feel most comfortable naked: naturists! They really enjoy being naked and have absolutely no shame or insecurity. But, unfortunately, there’s a much larger group of people who don’t even dare to look at themselves naked. With our tips, we hope to make you more confident about your beautiful naked body!

One naturist mindset, please

Naturists… Walking around all day in your birthday suit. Many of us wouldn’t even dare to think about it. But one thing that everyone agrees on is that naturists have an amazing view of their own bodies. Whether they’re completely happy with it or not, they walk around naked, and they don’t care about what others think. This is the ultimate sign of self-confidence. And we don’t all have to be naturists, but we could all use a bit of that confidence and mindset.

“Happily walking around naked is the ultimate sign of self-confidence!”

Naked & insecure: not a strange combination

It isn’t strange if you feel a bit insecure when you stand completely naked in front of someone. You’ve nothing to hide behind, no pieces of cloth to cover yourself up. You’re literally exposing yourself, and it’s logical that you find this daunting. Sometimes it’s even scarier if you don’t know the person that’s looking at you naked, but it’s also possible that you feel more insecure when it’s someone you care about. After all, you want to look as good as possible.

Nobody sees themselves as perfect

On social media, many women share naked pictures of themselves, but these are often from a good angle with nice lighting, and so they can show exactly what they want to show. Completely naked in real life is really different. That’s the real you. Try not to compare yourself to the images you see online or in films.

“You literally expose yourself, and it’s normal to find that daunting.”

It may be easier said than done, but try to remember that others don’t see your shortcomings the way you do. Those lumps here? Your stretchmarks? Scars, hair… The things you see first when you look in the mirror, others probably won’t even notice. Especially in the heat of the moment. If you’re undressing because you’re about to have a wild, passionate one-night stand, count on your sex partner seeing nothing but sex, lust, and excitement when he looks at you.

Your clothes are a shield

Your clothes are a shield. With clothes, you can accentuate certain parts and hide others. But clothes can also be used to create an image. Cool and oversized clothes, feminine and sexy, colourful, or completely black. The way you dress says something about your character. When you’re naked, that part falls away. So, you can not only feel literally, but also figuratively naked, as if you’ve lost a part of your identity.

“Without clothes, you feel naked not only literally, but also figuratively.”

Two exercises to feel more confident when naked

Walk around naked at home

If you’ve never done this before, give it a try. By ‘practising’ being naked on your own, you’ll feel more and more comfortable without clothes on. It’s logical that you’ll feel more comfortable being naked in front of someone else.

Mirror sessions

Learn to accept and appreciate your body simply by looking at it. Naked. You can start in lingerie, but work towards being completely naked. You’ll probably see the things you don’t like first, which is fine. Look at them for a while and then look for the things you do like. Scan your entire body in this way and do not pay attention to the parts you do not like. Say out loud what you like, or even write it down! Do this a few times a month or week. Your list will get longer and longer!

“Stand in front of the mirror and look for the things you like about yourself.”

Some people are so tough on themselves that they may not be able to find anything beautiful. But of course, that’s not possible. Everyone is beautiful in their own way! Do you find it difficult to compliment your appearance? Then start with the actions. Has your body given birth to a child? Has it undergone an operation? Tattoos, piercings… A physically demanding job? Your body can take it all! You can say thank you for that. “My body is strong, I’m proud of it and that’s beautiful”.

Be kind to yourself

Be kind to yourself, and be proud of your body. Be content with who you are. We hope these tips will help you accept and respect your beautiful body. And, if you want to help those around you, be generous with compliments! A small compliment can do so much for someone’s self-confidence.
