Organise your own home festival and create different PLAY zones

home festival

Festivals allow you to enter a different world. Good people, a great atmosphere, nice outfits, drinks, and above all lots of fun. But this year, a particular… virus threw a spanner in the works, and many festivals were cancelled. Or perhaps you find festivals too busy, too expensive, too far away… Either way, this article will inspire you to create your own festival at home!

Play zones

Like most festivals, it is fun to create different zones or stages at home. In each area, you can create a different vibe or activity. You can have a festival for two, but it’s even more fun with a group of friends. The coolest thing is of course to organise it in a big house with a garden, but that’s not necessary. You can also keep it nice and intimate!

How?

Make the garden the music zone, use the kitchen for food & drinks, make your bedroom the sexy zone, and set up the living room or patio as the chill zone. Or just do whatever you want and whatever’s possible! The important thing is that you, your partner, and your friends have a great afternoon or night. A festival at home isn’t just any house party, it’s a house party 2.0!

Main stage

Choose the biggest room and add a good music system. Ask everyone who comes to share the best party songs and create a playlist. The coolest thing would be for one of your friends to be the DJ, but just playing a playlist of good songs is also totally fine! Decorate the room and choose a fun theme. And then what? Well… let’s dance!

Food & drinks

What’s a festival without a food & drinks area? Make sure you’ve got tasty snacks ready in the kitchen. It may be a bit on-budget, but it certainly saves money if all your guests bring their own drinks and snacks. It’s not only cheaper for you, but there’s also something extra special about it. We love some good, home-cooked snacks on the table!

Chill zone

Turn on the relaxing music and let people can hang out on comfortable chairs, bean bags, and rugs. This is a place to relax, unwind, and chat… or to hit on that one person you’ve been fancying all night 😉 A dance party is fun, but the great thing about a festival is that there are also plenty of opportunities to meet new people, chat, and relax (preferably in the sun!).

Sexy zone🔞

The sexy zone is probably not for everyone, but if it’s your thing, it’s definitely a nice addition to your party! Turn your festival into a sextival and set up the bedroom as a sexy zone. A darkroom, sex room, cuddle room… create whatever you want! Set up an exciting room where you can play erotic games to make the evening more exciting, or create a room where only you and partner can come for sexy time or… Make it a space where everyone can come and enjoy. Your party, your rules 😏

What’s your house festival going to look like?
