      We recently tried out the ‘Satisfyer Partner Whale’. A sex toy that - as the name suggests - looks like a whale from a comic book. Perhaps that image is not a real turn on, but we were immediately excited about the word 'partner'. This toy is sold as a couple vibrator, so as a couple, you can enjoy the vibrations this toy provides.

      First impression

      The product is shipped in neutral packaging. When you open it, you'll find a white square box with a picture of the Satisfyer Partner Whale on the front. Good to know: the picture is the actual size of the toy. The side of the box lists everything the Whale can do. It also says that the toy has been nominated for several different design awards. That sounds promising. You can open the box by removing the two safety seals. That way you know the toy is new and safe to use.

      What comes with it?

      The Whale comes with a manual in eight different languages, from Dutch and German to Italian and Chinese. You never know who you might be trying this toy with soon. It also includes a magnetic USB charger. We found that to be really convenient! You put the cable on two chrome 'dots' and the charger clicks automatically. Like you do with some Apple products. Want to charge it with the wall socket? Then you need to provide the adapter yourself. This toy also can't be operated with batteries.

      The Whale

      The toy is made of very soft silicone rubber and comes fully charged. So you can get started straight away. The Whale just has one large round button on top of its head which makes it easy to operate. Press and hold it for two seconds to turn it on. Then you can click through to one of the ten different vibration settings. Found your favorite program, but accidentally clicked a little too fast? Well, you can only go forwards and not back. That was a downside for us. But it's fine, perhaps you can't expect that at this price.

      Use

      The (narrow) bottom of this toy is inserted vaginally, while the top (the head of the whale) rests between the labia. Because there are two motors in the device, the part in the vagina vibrates against the G-spot and the part between the labia against the clitoris. Double the pleasure! Because it's a partner vibrator, you can have sex with your partner as usual. That will provide even more stimulation for the woman. The man will also feel the vibrations during lovemaking.

      Our experience

      We have to be honest. We really had to get used to this partner vibrator. It took a while before it was in a comfortable position for her. And then the man had to get in place. When the man started to penetrate, the vibrator slid out of position a few times. In the end, we solved that problem by holding the whale in place by hand during sex. Another downside: the toy can rub painfully for the man. Is that a problem for you? Then use plenty of lubricant. And after a few test rounds, things started working much better. It's a question of getting to know the toy. What we both liked: the design, the soft material and the wide range of vibration settings. It also makes this toy a great option for the woman to use solo. It's a good addition to your collection of 'standard' dildos and vibrators.
