I have a love-hate relationship with cock rings. Although 'hate' may be too strong. You see, I understand the added value in certain positions. But in other positions a cock ring is not incremental. So initially I was skeptical about testing the Svakom Tyler.

What is the Svakom Tyler?
Svakom was US-founded in 2012. They've been making high-quality sex toys ever since. I have compared the quality of their products with the ones from LELO before (which is about the best if you ask me.)
The Svakom Tyler is a vibrating cock ring. Svakom calls it a 'rechargeable clitoris stimulating toy for couples.' It is a mouthful but it makes sense. The man is supposed to slip the cock ring onto his penis so it stimulates the clitoris during penetration (penis-in-vagina.)
So the Svakom Tyler is especially designed for (hetero man/woman) couples. Technically you could slip the Tyler on a dildo but why would you?
Since the penis ring slightly constricts blood circulation, it helps a man to maintain an erection. The vibrations help a woman to climax faster. And there we have the added value of a vibrating cock ring: as a couple you may even cum together. Personally I feel a coordinated orgasm is strongly overrated. But it doesn't hurt if a man lasts longer or if a woman cums faster (or more often.)
Specs and features.
The Svakom Tyler has powerful vibration settings in five different speeds. Besides the steady vibrations, there are four more patterns that each have five intensity settings.
The Tyler is covered by silicone that is safe for the body and feels really soft, but doesn't collect dust. On one side of the 'vibrating bulge' there are small nubs that ensure extra stimulation of the clitoris and labia of the woman. This toy is fully waterproof as well. Charge it for one hour and you can use it for one hour.
The inner diameter of the ring is 29 millimeter. But the material is flexible and stretchable. The 'vibrating bulge' attached to the ring, is a little over 4 centimeters in diameter. The Tyler weighs only 32 grams.
Unboxing.
Like every other Svakom product, the Tyler is also packaged in a beautiful, chic box that oozes quality. The box is wrapped in a white cardboard sleeve with an image of the Tyler. The box opens with a hinge. Inside you'll find a USB charging cable, the manual, a Svakom product flyer, a storage bag and a code to register the product so you can qualify for a 10-year warranty.
It really feels like you have something good here! Which is true.
The test drive.
Using a vibrating cock ring is about a few things specifically. Firstly, how does it fit the penis. Which of course depends on how thick the penis is. The material is quite flexible. It's flexible enough to fit around your wrist. Even so, the Tyler is quite tight. I recommend putting the cock ring on when the penis is not fully stiff (yet). Always add a little water-based lubricant on the ring before you slip it on. That way you can easily move it when - for example - you try a different position. Be aware of how you slip the ring on. The 'vibrating bulge' that includes the nubs, is supposed to go up against the clitoris.
Then, there is the control. Which I think is very smart! It's similar to other Svakom products' controls. If you hold the S-button on the side for a few seconds, the Tyler will start a steady, medium vibration. Every time you push the button it will jump to the next speed. After the highest speed you will return to the lowest. This way you can run through five different speeds. When you double click the S-button it will change patterns. Every time you double click, the pattern changes. Again, there are five patterns (including the steady vibration.) You can change the pattern's speed by clicking one time. I think that is very smart. Just one button, yet so versatile. If you don't like the vibration patterns, just don't run through them. Amazing! In theory, that is. During intimacy it's not easy to find that button. Clicking once is okay, but double clicking (with your hand between two bodies) is quite a challenge. Before you know it, you want to click twice but you may click once. That jumps you to the next speed instead of the next pattern.
Finally, the vibration. It's quiet yet really powerful. As a man, I always hope to feel the vibrations as well, but (often with vibrating cock rings) this is marginal. You could turn the Svakom Tyler so it vibrates your balls instead of the clitoris, but then it's no use to 'her.' Wether a woman will feel the vibrations mainly depends on the position. During thrusting, a vibrating cock ring is no use. This is all about grinding intimately. Positions like the cowgirl (she is on top) or the missionary are perfect!
My partner (woman) did not like the nubs. Only when adding enough lubricant she enjoyed riding the Tyler.
Cleaning the Svakom Tyler.
The Svakom Tyler is 100% waterproof so you can fully submerge it. That makes it relatively easy to clean. The problem is in the ribs and nubs. To clean in between, you almost need a (soft) brush. The transition between the shiny part and the silicone can be a source of bacteria. If you don't wait too long, you can rinse it to where it's reasonably clean. Mild soap or toy cleaner can help.
Conclusion.
Of all the vibrating cock rings I've tried, this is one of the best. It's nice and tight and the material feels soft and comfortable. Do use enough water-based lubricant both on the ring (so you can move it) and on the nubbed bulge that pushes against the clitoris. The nubbed bulge may be too intense for some women. I/we especially recommend this for couples/women that love rough stimulation of the clitoris.
