The best tips for more sperm! đź’¦
Producing a lot of semen is a sign of high testosterone and a healthy reproductive system. That’s why, understandably, many men would like to have more of it – maybe just to stroke their ego. But how do you increase your ejaculate production? We’ve got some tips for you!
Producing semen
A man produces more than 50,000 sperm cells per minute, all day long. On average, a man produces about a tablespoon of fluid during an orgasm. This is generally around 5 millilitres, but it can vary per orgasm. For example, it can be different if you’ve already just had an orgasm, and it varies according to the testosterone balance of the individual.
A low sperm count can have several causes. It can be hereditary, but it can also be caused by alcohol or drug abuse. Producing less than 0.1 ml is called hypospermia. However, this condition is quite rare.
How do you increase production?
Training the pelvic floor
Training the pelvic floor muscles has many benefits for men. You can train your pelvic floor by doing Kegel exercises. You don’t have to go to the gym for this, you can just do them at home. The exercises help you to have a longer erection, you can squirt further, and last but not least, it ensures that you ejaculate more semen as your muscles are a lot stronger! Training your pelvic floor muscles is therefore an excellent method to increase your potency.
More testosterone
A study from 2013 showed that men who visit the gym regularly and do a lot of muscle training produce more semen than those who don’t. Weightlifting has been shown to increase testosterone levels. This equates to higher sperm production.
“More testosterone means more sperm.”
Quit smoking
Do you smoke? Quit immediately! If having bad breath and a reduced sense of taste isn’t bad enough, smoking also affects your sperm count. Not only do you ejaculate less semen than non-smoking men (about 22% less); your sperm cells also get smaller and slower. Why? It’s because smoking affects the balance of proteins in your testes. Normally, your body keeps this in balance, but smoking can affect your protamine 2 levels. The effects of this are noticeable on the production of semen.
Volume drops
Of course, you can exercise more, train your pelvic floor muscles, stop smoking, etc. However, if you don’t feel like going the extra mile, these potency-enhancing drops might help! Take 30 drops twice a day to give more volume to your sperm. For the lazier ones among us!
Proteins
Believe it or not, there are several diets that can help you improve your sperm production. You probably know that a diet low in fat and high in protein, vegetables and whole grains is good for your health. But did you know that it’s also beneficial to your sperm? Eating fish such as salmon and tuna can increase your sperm count by as much as 34%!
Drinking less
Alcohol affects your liver function, which in turn causes a dramatic increase in your oestrogen levels. You probably already know that this doesn’t do your sperm production any good. The oestrogen (unlike testosterone) builds up in the body. Even two beers in a day have long-term effects on your sperm production! So maybe it’s best to keep that beer in the fridge today…
“Drinking two beers a day is already bad for your sperm production!”
More sex, less masturbation
Have you ever wondered why your sperm can be quite thick at times, while on other days it’s almost transparent and even watery? The explanation is actually quite logical. The more you ejaculate, the less dense your sperm will be. If you have sex every day, or couldn’t stop masturbating all week, the density of your sperm will be significantly lower.
Have you started incorporating some of the above tips? Do you notice a difference in volume? We’re very curious, let us know in a comment below!
