How to find and stimulate your G-spot

g-spot

The G-spot. Much has been said and written about it. Some women can’t find it; others claim it doesn’t exist. But if you’re able to find it, it can trigger intense orgasms. Here’s how to find your G-spot and, more importantly, how to stimulate it!

What is the G-spot?

A common theory is that the G-spot is actually the root of your clitoris. You can find the G-spot inside the vagina. Ironically, this highly erogenous zone is named after a man: Ernst Gräfenberg. In fact, the G-spot’s full name is the “Grafenberg spot”, but that doesn’t have the same ring to it. There’s been a lot of scientific research on this zone, but very few conclusions. That’s why it’s better to do your own research: there’s only one way to find out if you have a G-spot.

Finding your G-spot

The best way to find your G-spot is just after you’ve been to the toilet when you’re seated or in squat position, but you can also lie on your stomach or back, if you want. Place the palm of your hand on your vulva and insert your finger into your vagina, curling it towards the pubic bone. You’re looking for a swell behind the pubic bone, around 3 to 5 centimetres inside your vagina – closer to the opening that you may think. It’s a sponge-like swelling, around the size of a bean. You’ll find it on the upper anterior wall of your vagina, towards your stomach, and it’ll feel slightly more rippled than the skin around it. Don’t confuse it with the cervix, which is further inward and feels smoother.

You’ll know you’ve hit the right spot when it feels like you have to pee. That’s because the G-spot shares a nerve tract with the bladder. It’s a common feeling which quickly fades. If you’re having trouble finding the right spot, you can always ask your partner for help. Ask them to use two fingers and make a “come hither” motion along the inside of the vagina. That way you can focus on the feeling.

Stimulating your G-spot

Were you able to locate your G-spot? Lucky you! Now it’s time to find out what works best for you. There are many ways you can do this. Did you know stimulating the G-spot could make you squirt? Yup! Female ejaculation is just as mysterious a phenomenon as the G-spot itself. But the same rules apply: you’ll only find if you’re able to do it by experimenting.

Sex position: The Up and Over

By wrapping your legs around your partner’s neck, you’ll make it easier for your partner to hit that sweet spot. Place a pillow under your bum for even better penetration.

Sex position: Doggy style

There are many variations to Doggy style; this is one of them. Lie on your stomach and lift your butt slightly. This makes it easier for your partner to hit your G-spot and allows you to stimulate your clitoris by rubbing it up against the bed (or wherever you’re lying).

Sex position: The Lap Dance

There are also many variations to this sex position. We all know the cowgirl and the reverse cowgirl, but those aren’t the only positions where the woman is on top. Almost any position with a woman on top will stimulate the G-spot. Why? Because in doing so, you can control the movements to make sure you hit the right spots.

Use a G-spot vibrator

You can also stimulate your G-spot when going solo. Either with your fingers or with a vibrator. You can recognise a G-spot vibrator by its distinctly curved tip. This curve makes it easier to emphatically stimulate that elusive G-spot, which may be needed for sexual arousal, let alone an orgasm. Planning on purchasing a G-spot vibrator for the first time? Does G-spot stimulation work for everyone?

No matter how aroused they get, some women don’t feel anything when stimulating their G-spot and will probably go on to doubt its existence. Other women experience such an intense feeling when stimulating this area that they cum fast and hard. Some may even ejaculate. The only way to find out whether G-spot stimulation works for you is by trying it out for yourself!
