Lots of people think you only need to use lube if you have trouble getting wet enough. Think again. This clear liquid can improve everyone's sex life - both men's and women's. This is why I always have a bottle of lube within reach in my bedroom.

What's my favorite lube? It depends on the situation. I tend to use a silicone-based one when I have sex with my partner. It's nice and thick and it doesn't dry out too quickly. The biggest drawback with this type of lube is that you can't use it with sex toys. Your toys might melt (WTF) and get sticky which means you'll end up having to throw them out.

This is why I recently decided to try EasyGlide Water-Based Lubricant. This lube is - you may have guessed this by now - water-based and that means it's one hundred percent safe to use with your battery operated Tarzan. The bottle contains 150 ml and has a light-blue label without any erotic wording or pictures. The packaging has a neutral vibe. This means you can safely sit it next to your massage oil on your nightstand.

I really liked the fact that the lube was easy to use. All you need to do is press the lid. This means you can open and close the bottle using just one hand. It's ideal in the heat of the moment when your second hand might be otherwise engaged. It's easy to dose the amount of lube you need by squeezing the bottle. This is my preferred method because pump bottles never last long with me.

We expect this to be a nice lubricant. We regularly use a lubricant and are nearly always satisfied.

Packaging

The lubricant comes in a clear bottle with a white cap. Press one side to open the bottle. Squeeze the bottle and the lubricant will come out. You can also twist off the cap.

Using it

The lube is clear, feels cold and is thicker than water. The cold sensation can be quite exciting and it will pass after a few seconds as the lube warms up. We know quite a bit about lube and this one feels a lot like some of the other ones we've tried. It's up to you do decide how much you want to use. We tend to use quite a bit of lube when inserting a plug as it can be uncomfortable otherwise. It would have been nice if it was scented. This is due to the odor caused by using a plug anally.

Conclusion

We can definitely recommend this lubricant. It's an affordable lubricant which works well and is easy to use. The only thing missing was a nice scent. However, you might not feel the same way. We don't have anything else to add.

Water-based Easyglide Anal Lubricant.

Easyglide's lubricants are interesting because of their nice price-tag. Question is how it compares to more expensive lubricants. This anal lubricant is a water-based gel. Besides water, it also includes glycerin, hydroxyethyl cellulose, citric acid, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate. Glycerin is an agent that binds the water, making it thicker. It creates a film. It is also used in the cosmetic industry because of its moisturizing effect. The glycerin makes the lubricant feel smooth and acts as kind of cushion that reduces friction. Glycerin is sometimes associated with fungal infections. Opinions differ on this and there is no scientific evidence, but if you are prone to fungal infections you may want to use a silicone-based lubricant. The hydroxyethyl cellulose is also a thickener. It is often added to soap to prevent foaming. The citric acid and the potassium sorbate are additives to prevent spoilage.

Unboxing.

The Easytoys Anal lubricant comes in simple but perfect bottle. No-nonsense but elegant packaging. No dispenser but a cap you need to press. Then squeeze the bottle to get the volume you want. I know many people would prefer a dispenser, but I doubt it. As residue collects around the nozzle it will get dirty and spoils faster. Be careful that there is no spoilage with these Easyglide caps. When squeezing the bottle it generates lubricant. But when you dip the cap in the gel while letting go of the bottle, some of the lubricant will retract in the bottle. This may allow for bacteria from your hand to get into the bottle. So the lubricant may spoil faster. I recommend that bottles that have been open for more than two months (regardless of the cap) must be thrown away.

The test drive.

Usually I do some deep research before I test a toy - in this case lubricant - but somehow I did not do that this time. I opened the bottle right away and put some lubricant on my hand. Easyglide's Anal Lubricant is thick so initially I thought it was silicon-based. So I was rather surprised this is a water-based lubricant. The lubricant is odorless and tasteless. It feels soft and it is not very sticky. I especially like that it is not watery; it does not run off your hand so you spill less. My partner (woman) and I have regular anal sex, also with toys. This lubricant is nice and thick, which makes penetration easy. It does not feel greasy and it washes off easily.

Conclusion.

Water-based Easyglide Anal lubricant is an interesting lubricant because of its value for money. If you are looking for an affordable lubricant that still works well, this is a good alternative. The quality is good and comparable to other average water-based gels. Are there better lubricants available? Yes. But you often pay at least double for those.

The only hint that this is something a bit more exciting are the words 'toy cleaner' on the front of the bottle.

The toy cleaner contains an anti-bacterial product which banishes odors and kills harmful bacteria. The product is clear and almost scentless. I say almost scentless because if you take a really good sniff of it - and stick your nose in the bottle - you may pick up a subtle hint of lemon. The cleaner isn't chemical and it won't irritate your skin. The manufacturer states that the product boasts an optimal pH level. That's nice because lots of toys end up in some pretty intimate places.

You can apply the toy cleaner using the bottle's pump. One or two pumps is enough for dildos and vibrators. You only need a little which means bottles last for ages. I've been using it for nearly a month and the bottle is still nearly 80% full. Of course, it does depend on what you want to clean. You're probably going to be using more of the product when cleaning larger items like slings or sex swings. Let the cleaner absorb for 1 minute after applying it. Just rinse with water (the label says you don't have to do this), dry with a clean cloth and you can put away your sparkling clean toy. Conclusion: I am satisfied with this toy cleaner. A no-frills product which does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's affordable too. It couldn't be better.
