The best ideas for a playful date 🌞

playful date

Spring is just around the corner, and that means you can go on some great dates! Your date options are no longer just a film marathon under a blanket or drinking hot chocolate in the park. With a gentle spring breeze, much more is possible. We’ve put together the 7 best date ideas for you so that you can have a wonderfully playful spring.

#1 Organise a picnic

Go to the supermarket with your date and get the best things for the ultimate picnic. For example, get some delicious baked rolls, muffins, a fresh juice, and a drink. Make some sandwiches at home or whip up a tasty salad, and find a nice spot to enjoy a romantic lunch together.

#2 Rent a tandem

I can speak from experience: riding the tandem together is absolutely hilarious. It’s a bit difficult to have conversations, but of course that’s not necessary on a first date. The most important thing is that you have a good time together this first time – and that’s a guarantee with a tandem. Would you rather have a nice chat with your date? Then combine it with the first idea from this list, or drop by a coffee shop for a drink to go.

#3 Go to an amusement park or arcade

Speaking of playful dates…. Forget the cinema, eating out, or having a drink somewhere. No, on the next first date you should go to the amusement park or arcade! A visit to an (exciting) attraction produces hormones that make you feel happy. Laughs are guaranteed, and of course, that’s also super attractive…

#4 Attend a cocktail workshop

Also great fun and playful: a cocktail workshop! Shake, shake, shake! Make each other’s favourite drink during a fun workshop. You’ll learn how to make a good cocktail and score points if you make the perfect cocktail for your date. If your date is going well, why not continue your cocktail session on a restaurant terrace?

#5 Take a walk

It may not be very playful and it may sound a bit dull, but going for a walk is perfect for a first date and the spring sunshine only makes it better. It’s also the ultimate date option if you suffer from date-anxiety. As you don’t have to look each other in the eye all the time, it takes away any tension. Search for the most beautiful sights in the village or town where you’re going to walk, or even better; go to the beach or a national park 🐑

#6 Visit a local winegrower

At the local winery (or brewery), you can go for a nice tour and tasting. A drink always makes a date extra fun, and you can also enjoy the variety of your date’s facial expressions (unless they like or dislike everything, but we don’t think so). Of course, you can also host a tasting in your own backyard!

#7 A film marathon

Well, springtime remains unpredictable. Is it raining? Then you can always opt for a film marathon. Personal favourite? Lord of the Rings or of course, Harry Potter (but then you have to really like each other, because for this marathon you’ve got to be HOOKED).
